A Writing Journey

Settled with a New Schedule

I am still in the process of settling down, but I have made it to my new home! It’s a big change, but I am ready for this adventure that is life.

As I begin my journey, I have no TV, and no internet at my apartment. This means that I will have more time to read and write than I have before, even with my job.  It also means I will have to be more careful about the data usage on my phone. Because of the lack of internet, my posting schedule will remain Monday-Wednesday-Friday, though the topics will change slightly. I will keep you updated in my search for a publisher, and as to the progress of book 2 (working title “Scourge of the Daiyen”), and other little writing-related tidbits. I might even throw in some extra posts when I feel particularly inspired. I am going to try to do a flash fiction piece one a week,  between 300 and 1000 words.  These may or may not be related to the Quest for Salvation world.

This move is making it clear that inspiration can come from anywhere, and I encourage all of you to remember that. Keep your eyes open and pay attention to the world. There are things out there that long to be seen, and we have to pay attention to them.

Take care, fellow travelers.

New Adventures

Well, since I finished my fifth draft of Quest for Salvation, I have been letting it sit. I am going to do one final read-through for typos before I send it, and that should be relatively quick. In the meantime, I have picked up work again on the sequel. From my rewrite of Quest for Salvation, I have some significant changes for the outline of book 2, but I think they will be better than before. I am excited to continue working on Lacey’s story.

The process of sending queries (or manuscripts depending on the publisher) has been postponed. Not because I want to postpone it, but because I am about to embark on a cross-country move. I want to be sure that I have my new address set in stone before I send anything out.

What does the move mean for my blog? Well, I have some posts written that are ready to go and will be posted throughout this coming week. I will try to write new posts as I can and hope to keep a consistent schedule, but I don’t yet know what my internet situation will be. So keep your fingers crossed for me!

I am excited for all of my new adventures, and hope that I will be able to maintain that excitement throughout the process.

Take care, fellow travelers!
